Each license for Chief Architect that you purchase allows you to run the program on one computer at a time.
Chief Architect Security:
Chief Architect implements security through software lock security or a standard USB hardware lock. The software lock security is the default security beginning with version X2 and can be used to provide portability of the software between additional computers by using the 'Deactivate License' option in the program menu. An emergency transfer option exists for the case where you forget to Deactivate and you are not near the current Activated license; 3 emergency transfers are permitted. Internet access is required for Activation and Deactivation. Active licenses are periodically validated. There is a fee for additional emergency transfers. The hardware lock security is available for an additional fee – just give us a call at 208-292-3400 or .
Why does Chief Architect need Security? The reason for the security is to protect the software from piracy and copyright violation. Other security options may be available. Please call for more information.
