I have dual monitors and would like to use Chief Architect on both. How can I do this?
In Chief Architect X6 you can move views to another monitor by grabbing their tab and pulling it off the main window to be placed elsewhere. The Tool palette, Toolbars, Library Browser, plan views and Camera views can all be pulled off and dialogs will remember where they were last opened. If necessary size and position of dialogs and windows can be reset on the Reset Options panel of the Preferences dialog.
A short video on pull away windows in X6 can be seen Here.
In prior versions, however, view windows such as those for floor plan view, 3D views and CAD Details
cannot exist outside of the larger program window. You can, however,
stretch the Chief Architect program window across multiple monitors.
To stretch the program window across two monitors for X5 and prior programs
Launch Chief Architect and click the Restore Down
button located at the top right corner of the program window, right beside the close button.
Click and drag the side of the Chief Architect window nearest your secondary monitor until the window stretches as far as you need it to into the second monitor.
You can now tile different view windows within the program on two different monitors.
The next time you launch the program, it will be located in its default location on your primary monitor.
