The information in this article applies to Chief Architect X4:
I need instructions for how to install the Chief Architect Academic X4 multiple-seat license, but cannot locate my Academic Installation Guide booklet that came with my program disc. Where else can I find this information?
Installing Chief Architect X4 Academic
The Chief Architect X4 Academic Installation Guide that was included in your program DVD case is available online at http://cloud.chiefarchitect.com/1/pdf/documentation/chief-architect-x4-academic-installation-guide.pdf
A link to this document is also available on your organization's Digital Locker page. You can log in by clicking the My Account
link located at the top right corner of most pages on the Chief Architect web site.
If you are using software lock security, instead of a hardware lock, and are not certain how to manage your multi-seat license activations, please review this video which explains the process.
Logging in to the website
Please remember that you likely have two separate passwords for logging in to the website. One is for students to use, for the purpose of watching the online tutorial training videos. The other is used for administrative tasks, such as downloading the software and content, as well as to manually deactivate licenses for the multi-seat license, if you can't use the standard deactivation procedure within the program itself.
- If you cannot locate the e-mail with your login passwords, the student password can be requested by using the "Lost your Password?" link on the login page.
- If you need the educator password, then you will need to have a verified contact under your school's Account call our Customer Service team to request it be manually reset.
Customer Service can be reached at (208)664-4204 or at the toll-free number of (800)482-4433. Their hours of operation are 6:00AM-5:00PM Pacific Time, Monday-Friday.
If you have an Academic software license with current Support and Software Assurance and would like to upgrade, please review the information on this process at:
