Creating a New Thread on ChiefTalk

I would like to post a question for other users of Chief Architect in the free online user forum, ChiefTalk.  How can I do this?


Before you can post a question on ChiefTalk, you need to register and activate an Account, sign in to your ChiefTalk account, and go in to the section of the forum you want to post the new thread in.


To register a new ChiefTalk account

  1. Go to:

  2. Click on the Welcome guest, is this your first visit? link.

  3. Go through and enter in all of the requested information.

  4. After you have created a new account, sign in to the e-mail address that you registered your ChiefTalk Account under, open the activation e-mail, and click on the link provided.

    If you previously registered for ChiefTalk, but did not activate your Account and can no longer locate the e-mail with the activation link, you can request another activation e-mail be sent from the Email Activation Codes page.

To post a new thread on ChiefTalk

  1. Sign in to ChiefTalk using the User Name and Password that you created.

    If you cannot remember your password and have entered it incorrectly, click on the Forgotten your password? link to have a temporary one sent to the e-mail address your registered under.

  2. Once you've signed in, click on the link to the General Q&A section of the forum, then click on the green + Post New Thread button located near the upper left of the screen.

    If you think your question may have been asked and answered previously, you can also choose to use the Search the forums feature to look up prior threads.

  3. Give your new thread a Title, a detailed description of your question, attach any helpful images or screenshots that may assist others in understanding your question, then click on the Submit New Thread button.
