How to Update Versions X3 and X4

QUESTION

I want to update my Chief Architect X4 or X3 to the most recent release.  How do I do that?

ANSWER

The update file you need for your Chief Architect will vary based on the specific build number of your installation.  Since there may be several possible update combinations, this adds a level of complexity to selecting the correct update for your installation.  Because of this, we have not posted links to the individual update files.  To update your Chief Architect to the latest version, follow these instructions:

 

1.  Launch Chief Architect and open a new plan file.

 

2.  Click on the Help menu and select Download Program Updates.

 

Your web browser will open the Program Updates web page.  You can follow the instructions on that page to download and install the update.
