You can quickly and easily resize a layout title block and border by making it into a CAD Block and then resizing it using a corner edit handle.

To resize a title block and border

1. Open the layout file that you would like to assign a different page size.
   
   
   
       
   • In this example, the default layout template profile.layout is used.
     
     
     
2. Select File> Save As  from the menu and type a short, descriptive name for the new layout template that you will create.
   
   
   
   
   • In this example, "Custom 18x24.layout" is used.
     
     
     
3. Select File> Print> Page Setup  from the menu to open the Page Setup dialog for the current layout file.
   
   
          
   • Specify the desired Printer, Printer Paper Size and Orientation, and Drawing Sheet Size and Orientation.
     
     
   • For best results, make sure that the Printer Paper and Drawing Sheet have the same Size and Orientation.  This will result in one printed page per sheet, as noted under the preview diagram on the right side of the dialog.
     
     
   • Make sure the Drawing Scale is 1 to 1.
     
     
   • Do not modify the Line Weight Scale.
     
     
   • Click OK to close the dialog and apply your changes, then Save  your work.
     
     
     
4. In Chief Architect, go to Page 0 and press Fill Window , and/or Zoom  as needed so that you can see title block and border, and also the white, rectangular Drawing Sheet Boundary in its entirety.
   
   Home Designer Pro only has a single page layout, so you make this change on the sheet directly, as opposed to on Page 0.
      
   • If you do not see a white rectangle surrounded by a grey background when you zoom out, select File> Print> Print Preview  from the menu.
     
     
     
5. Click Edit> Select All, select the Select Objects  tool and click on the edge of the white, rectangular Drawing Sheet Boundary to de-select it.  
   
   
   
   
   • The Status Bar at the bottom of the program window will display the number of items selected, use this to verify that after clicking the edge of the Drawing Sheet one item is subtracted from the total number of selected items.
     
     
     
6. At the top of the selected area is resize handle, grab and drag this handle to scale the entire selection up or down in order to fit within the designated Drawing Sheet area.
   
   
   
   
   • If the rotate handle obscures the resize handle, zoom in or out until it becomes visible.
     
     
   • If you experience difficulty with the layout border snapping to the edge of the Drawing Sheet, hold the Ctrl key on your keyboard to temporarily disable snapping while positioning.
     
     
     
7. If necessary, use the move handle in the center to reposition the selection on the Drawing Sheet, or use File> Print> Center Sheet to ensure it centers properly on the Drawing Sheet.
