QUESTION

I am trying to print a wall detail that has a grey fill color.  When I print it, it comes out solid black.  How do I get the grey fill to show up, or at least get the solid black to go away?

ANSWER

Most likely, your printer or plotter is using a monochrome setting, which directs your printer to print in black and white.  In the case of a grey color, it is choosing to print black.

To fix this, you can either find the setting in your printer's Properties dialog and turn it off, or you can print in color in Chief Architect.

To print in grey scale

  1. Select File> Print> Print  from the menu.

  2. In the Print dialog, check the box beside Color.

  3. Click OK to send the print job to the black and white printer.
