When placing an object with Chief Architect, the mouse will sometimes move too quickly to place the object accurately within a drawing. How can I slow down the mouse movement so that this is not a problem?
To move, rotate, or otherwise edit an object slowly when using its edit handles, select the object and then click the Accurate Move edit button. This will slow down mouse movement during the next use of the object's edit handles, allowing greater precision.
To use use the Accurate Move feature
- If you add a staircase to your drawing and then select it, the Accurate Move
tool will display in the edit toolbar.
- Click on Accurate Move
and then use any of the edit handles that display on or near the object.
When you click and drag an edit handle, notice that the movement of the stairs is slowed dramatically, allowing you to place them precisely.
- When you release the edit handle, the Accurate Move
tool is also released. If you wish to slow mouse movement again, click the button again.
You can also slow down the movement speed of a selection after you have started moving it by pressing the Shift key. Release the Shift key to resume movement at normal speed.
