QUESTION

I am not able to select the Glass Doors option in my cabinets' specification dialogs. How do I specify glass doors when the option is grayed out?

ANSWER

The Glass Doors checkbox option is only enabled when the cabinet's Door Style is specified as Framed.

To specify glass doors on a cabinet

  1. Open the plan file in which you would like to create cabinets with glass doors.

  2. Click the Select Objects  tool and click on a base, wall or full height cabinet to select it, then click the Open Object  edit button.

  3. On the Front tab of the Base, Wall or Full Height Cabinet Specification dialog:

    • Select Framed Doors from the Door Style drop-down list at the top of the dialog.

    • Check the box beside Glass Doors in the Options section, which will now be enabled.

Notice that the preview image of the cabinet on the right side of the dialog updates to show glass doors.

  4. Make any additional desired changes, such as to the Materials and click OK to close the dialog and apply your change.

Alternately, you could select the Library button next to the Door Style to launch Select Library Object dialog and choose from a variety of glass door options.
