Help Database

Both the Chief Architect User's Guide Guide and Reference Manual are available in an electronic format and can be accessed from within the program at any time.

To access the electronic reference materials

1. First, launch the Chief Architect program, and once Chief Architect is running:
   
   
   • Select Help> View User's Guide from the menu or,
     
     
   • Select Help> View Reference Manual .
     
     
     
     Alternately, you can select Help> Contents and Index , which allows you to Browse the Manual by chanpter on the Contents tab, search the manual by keyword on the Index tab or customize your search on the Search tab.
     
     
   • The electronic version of the Chief Architect User's Guide or Chief Architect Reference Manual displays, depending on which you selected.
     
     
     
2. When either of the .pdf documents is open, you can alternate between the Chief Architect drawing space and the electronic documentation.
   
   
   • Hold down the ALT key on your keyboard, and press the TAB key. A small window opens that containins the icons for each program currently running as well as open directories.
     
     
   • With the ALT key depressed, continue to press TAB until you highlight the icon for Chief Architect. When the Chief icon is highlighted, release the ALT key and the Chief Architect drawing space is again available.
