A PDF, or Portable Document Format, file cannot be exported or saved from Chief Architect - it must be printed. In brief, the process is as follows: You open a drawing or layout in Chief; click File> Print and choose your PDF printer; and the click the Print button.

While this process will quickly and easily produce a PDF document, the one critical component that must be present is a PDF driver. The purpose of this article is not to endorse one particular PDF driver over another, but is intended to present you with several options. Other options not listed here might also might be appropriate.
