QUESTION

When I open my plan in Chief Architect, I get this message:

"The following fonts are not available on this system. Missing fonts can lead to unpredictable text sizes."

When I select Edit> Preferences  from the menu and go to the Font category, I see some of the same fonts, but not the font that I want to use.

ANSWER

Chief Architect uses the fonts in your Windows Fonts folder.

If you do not find a specific custom font on a particular computer, you can install it.

New fonts can be purchased from the vendor of your choice.  Once the font has been purchased and downloaded to your computer, it can be installed in the Fonts folder.

To install a font

  1. Click the Windows Start button, and select Control Panel

  2. Open the Fonts folder, then select File> Install New Font from the menu.

  3. In the Add Fonts dialog, browse to and select the font that you have saved onto your computer and click the OK button to install the new font to your Fonts folder.
