Will Chief Architect software work on a Mac computer?

The information in this article applies to:
  • Chief Architect X5
  • Chief Architect X4
  • Chief Architect X3
  • Chief Architect X2
QUESTION

I am interested in purchasing Chief Architect, and want to know if it will run on my Mac computer.

ANSWER

At this time, none of the Chief Architect software programs will run natively on the Mac operating system.

Starting in Chief Architect X2, we will support running on a Mac computer only if the hard drive has been partitioned using Boot Camp, and you boot up in to the Windows partition for the purposes of downloading, installing, and running the software.

WARNING: Please note that running in a emulator, or virtual machine environment, such as Parallels or VMWare Fusion, is NOT supported.
