QUESTION

How can I make sure a plan that I am printing fits on the page?

ANSWER

You can see if your plan will fit on the page that you are printing to in one of several ways:

  • Select File> Print> Print Preview  to display the floor plan view as it will appear when printed.

The drawing sheet displays in Print Preview and can be selected using the Select Objects  tool and repositioned; however, anything that will not be printed, such as the grid lines, cannot.

  •  Another method is to select File> Print> Print  and select Fit to Paper in the Print dialog.

  • Finally, you can always send the drawing to a layout sheet and adjust the plan so it fits on the layout sheet.
