Potter

David J. Potter has been active in the building and construction fields for over a quarter of a century and has been a user of Chief Architect since 1995. He served as a Beta Tester for Chief Versions 6, 7, 8 and 9. He represented Chief Architect Inc. (along with Architects Carey Stanly and Craig Meyer, AIBD) in the AEC CADD Shootout in 1999 in Washington D.C., where they made quite a splash for Chief Architect.

In the 70’s he worked for the largest property management company in Texas, running its division that provided the full range of building, construction and remodeling services. In the 80’s he owned and ran his own remodeling and maintenance services company.

In the 90’s he worked with Design and Remodeling Solutions as a sub-contractor, construction foreman and then as a Chief Architect CAD Designer.

In 1999 David started his own drafting business, serving mainly other Chief software users across the country and overseas. He is a constant Help contributor to the Chief User Forums, Chief Talk (over 2,600 posts) and Chief-Users. He taught Chief Architect software seminars for the Berridge Manufacturing Company in Sequin, Texas and for Tech Ed.

David believes that a man is as alive as he helps others, so teaching and problem solving come naturally to him.
