Kitchen, Bath & Interiors Project Online Training
Scope
Chief Architect’s Kitchen, Bath & Interiors Project is a six hour Second-Level (intermediate) Online Seminar designed to expand the experienced users knowledge and skill pertaining to interior plan development using Chief Architect. An existing multi-level residential plan shell is used to explore techniques for creating kitchens, baths, electrical plans, stairs, interior trim and many other interior design elements.

- Attendees need to have completed a Jump Start online training, a field Introductory Training Seminar or obtain Instructor approval
- A licensed copy of Chief Architect X1

Content
This training is designed to help the student develop a deeper understanding of Chief Architect and to teach the skills necessary to professionally complete the many elements of a plan interior. In this class, we will:
- Maintain a common-sense, thoughtful approach to drawing and creating plans with Chief Architect.
- Develop a superior understanding of Rooms and Walls; examine their structures and attributes, their specifications and functions, and learn to maximize our control over them.
- Learn to create and control stairs; curved stairs, stairs with landings.
- Create custom molding profiles for use with crown, chair rail, and base moldings.
- Understand and apply molding lines, polylines and 3D molding polylines.
- Explore cabinets; thoroughly examine their specifications, learn to modify them, add appliances and to create special cabinets.
- Examine Chief’s various cameras, learn to maximize their functionality, study their applications and explore the uses of the color chooser and Material Painter tools.
- Learn to create and manipulate roof and ceiling planes for use in our interior design
- Design and build Tray, Coffered and Open-Beam Ceilings.
- Explore the Library Browser; manage user libraries, create a new material, image and plant image.
- Use the Create Symbol Wizard; learn to add new symbols to the Library
- Create a custom kitchen, a peninsula and an island with a raised service bar
Upon completion of this training course, students should have a strong intermediate level understanding of the tools required, the processes undertaken, and many of the techniques used to accomplish successful Interior Design Projects with Chief Architect.
