Introductory Skill Level
Scope
This seminar’s content is comprehensive in that the entire process of developing a design is covered. Other trainings may offer specialized content, covering certain aspects of the program, such as roofs or rendering.
This training covers the overall program, attempting to fit the complete puzzle together. This is done in introductory classes with very large pieces. Intermediate classes use smaller pieces and skip parts of the puzzle already understood, focusing on the more difficult elements. The advanced classes jump all over the place, never losing track of the big picture, focusing on the program aspects attendees choose.
Requirements
Customers are advised to have a basic level of computer literacy, as the class will focus on operation of the program – not the computer. Attendees should be able to save locate, and retrieve files. They should be able to create new folders and locate them correctly. They should understand the basic mouse commands, such as click, right-click, drag and shift-drag.
Content
The trainer will follow a general presentation structure patterned after the process of developing a design with the program. This is more or less the backbone of the training structure, and while the discussion will vary widely, the trainer can regularly reorient the group to their current position in the overall development of the design. The Classroom Design Project Training Video product also follows the same process of design.
Introductory users should not expect to do an entire set of specialized plans after the two days, but should expect to be off to a good start, with a good overall sense of how the program works, and an understanding of how to proceed with the program and its learning tools.
