QUESTION

How can I automatically add feet to my cabinets?

ANSWER

Feet can be added to your cabinets automatically in Chief Architect X8  through the Cabinet Specification Dialog.

To automatically add feet to your cabinets

  1.  Place two base cabinets in your plan. Select the cabinet on the left, open object and on the Front/Sides/Back Panel of the Base Cabinet Specification Dialog, change the Door swing to Auto Left under the Item Type.

  2. Hold down the Shift key to select both cabinets. Open object and go to the accessories Panel of the Base Cabinet Specification Dialog. Under Feet, Foot Style, click on the Library and choose Bun Foot 2 and select OK to exit the Select Library Object Dialog, and OK to exit the Base Cabinet Specification Dialog.

You now have cabinet feet on both sides of the cabinet. When the cabinets bump together, the feet are missing between the separation.

To place feet under the cabinet separation

Select one cabinet. Open object and go to the accessories Panel of the Base Cabinet Specification Dialog. Under the Feet section, select Always Present.

    Now both cabinets have feet.
