I would like to add shutters to my windows. How can I do this?

In Chief Architect, you can apply window treatments to both the exterior and interior of a window.

To add shutters to a window's exterior

  1. Select a window and choose Open Object  to open the Window Specification dialog.

  2. On the Shutters panel, use the Shutters Type drop down to choose the type of shutter you would like to apply, or click the Library button to choose a shutter from the library.

In X5 and prior products put a checkmark in the box for Use Shutters and choose any other options for the style of shutters you like.

To add treatments to a window's interior

  1. Select a window and choose Open Object  or double click the window to open the Window Specification dialog.

  2. On the Treatments panel, click the Curtains Style drop-down list and select Library from that list, or click the Library button.

  3. In the Select Library Object dialog:

    • Click on a curtain style that suits your needs to select it.

    • Click OK to close the dialog and return to the Window Specification dialog.

  4. Beneath the Curtains drop-down list, specify a Height Off Floor and Height Above Casing for your curtains, then click OK to close the dialog and apply your changes.

To see a preview of the interior shutters in the Window Specification dialog, click the Interior radio button beneath the preview image on the right side of the dialog.
