I have moved my Library Browser, Project Browser, Active Layer Display Options, and/or Tool Palette onto a secondary monitor which is no longer there or otherwise cannot locate it when I go to activate this tool. How can I reset it to its default position within Chief Architect?

Restoring the size and position of any of these side windows is easy to do in Chief Architect's Preferences.

To restore the Side Windows

  1. Launch Chief Architect and either Open an existing plan, or start a New Plan .

  2. Select Edit> Preferences from the menu.

    • On a Mac, navigate to Chief Architect> Preferences from the menu.

  3. Select the Reset Options panel in the bottom left corner and click on the Reset Side Windows button.

Note: In Chief Architect X5 and prior, select the Library Browser panel under the Appearance category and click the Restore Position/Size Defaults button.

  4. You will be prompted with a warning that states, "All side windows will be reset to the default size and position when you re-launch the program." Click OK.

  5. Click OK again to close Preferences dialog.

  6. Select File> Exit to completely close out of the program.

    • On Mac select File> Quit.

  7. The next time you restart Chief Architect, the original size and position of all of your side windows will be restored.
