I see some icons in the menus, but cannot find them in the Toolbar Customization dialog. Where can I find these icons?
Many of the icons on the menus are the child tools of a parent tool. To find these icons in the Toolbar Customization dialog, you need to first find the parent icon. Often, this is the case when the tool in question is found in a submenu.
The Interior Wall tool, for example, is found by going to Build> Walls.
To find it in the Toolbar Customization dialog, therefore, you must first find the Wall Tools parent icon.
If you are still unable to locate a particular tool, it may be that the feature you are looking for is actually an Edit tool, which will only be available on the Edit toolbar when it can be applied to a selected object.
When you select an object, the edit toolbar displays, as in the example below where a Base Cabinet is selected.
By default, it is located at the bottom of the program window, just above the Status Bar.
The toolbar buttons that display can be used to edit the selected object(s). Which buttons display depends on the type of object selected, the current view, and how you selected the object.
The edit toolbar buttons are the same as the options in the contextual menu when you right-click on an object.
