Create a deck built around an existing above-ground pool by specifying the part of the deck room occupied by the pool as Open Below.
Create a polyline solid with a partially transparent lattice material to go under a deck or stairs, or to fill in a porch area.
When a Deck room is created, the floor platform is modeled using joists, beams, posts, and planking as specified in the Deck Room Defaults dialog.
Use the Click Stairs tool to easily place stairs between levels on the same floor, or between a floor platform and the terrain, with a single click.
Automatic Deck Framing is a fast way to generate your decks' posts, beams, joists and planking. You can then modify any of these framing members as needed.
You can align railings directly above/below one another using the Generate on Low Platform setting on the Rail Style tab of the Railing Specification dialog.
Deck planking is part of the structure and does not require a finish layer. When a floor finish layer is added to a Deck room a message will display.
