Creating a custom stair railing can be added to a staircase using the Railing tool and setting it to follow the slope of the stairs.
By default, railings and deck railings have the 'No Locate' setting checked, which prevents Auto Exterior Dimensions from locating these objects.
You can align railings directly above/below one another using the Generate on Low Platform setting on the Rail Style tab of the Railing Specification dialog.
Cable, glass, and other decorative panels can be applied to railings and stairs using the Staircase Specification and Railing Specification dialogs.
Custom newels, balusters, and panels can be created with any 3D item that has been added to the library as Millwork.
Stair rake walls can easily be created in X11 and newer program versions by specifying a railing to be a pony wall and having it follow the slope of the stairs.
Wall caps can be applied to a variety of different walls in Chief Architect.
